When Someone Says You’re Wrong
Few things are harder than being told we’re wrong—especially by someone close to us. In family relationships, criticism and correction can quickly become sources of conflict. Peter’s instruction addresses the dynamics of difficult relationships: responding with a gentle and quiet spirit, winning others over without words, and trusting in God rather than relying on our own defensiveness. When someone says we’re wrong, our natural instinct is to fight back or shut down. But the Gospel calls us to a better way—one that prioritizes peace and reflects the character of Jesus. (1 Peter 3:1-7)
