The Role of Praise in a Spirit-Filled Life
Paul gives Christians this command, “be filled with the Spirit.” The next few phrases in Ephesians 5 either teach Christians how to be filled with the Spirit or describe what it looks like when we are filled with the Spirit. Either way, there is no doubt that singing songs of praise is an essential part of a Spirit-filled life. When we praise God, we are aligning ourselves with the Holy Spirit, treasuring his truth in our hearts and expressing his thoughts with our mouths. If we want to be filled with the Spirit, we must be people of praise. (Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-21)
