Psalm 19 | The Law of the Lord is Perfect
Dale Lollar continues our Summer in the Psalms series reminding us that while God is the all-powerful Creator whose glory is loudly proclaimed across the heavens without a single spoken word, He is also a deeply personal God who desires to revive, guide, and protect our hearts through His perfect Word.
Through this lesson, Dale highlights the character of God as David shifts from using El (the God of creation) to Yahweh (our personal, covenant Lord). He explores how David’s life as a shepherd allowed him to meditate on both the majesty of the night sky and the supreme value of Scripture, which surpasses all material wealth. Ultimately, we are challenged to live in humble surrender before King Jesus, praying that the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts are always acceptable to our Rock and our Redeemer.
