McDermott Road
McDermott Road is partnering with Rasor Elementary through Kids Hope USA, a one-on-one mentoring program that connects caring adults with students who need encouragement, support, and a consistent presence in their lives.
Mentors are paired with one student and spend one hour each week with that student during a school day. Time together may include reading, games, conversation, schoolwork, and simple encouragement. The goal is not to be a tutor or counselor, but to show up faithfully and help a student know they are seen, valued, and loved.
Rasor Elementary is located at 945 Hedgcoxe Rd, Plano, TX 75025.
Training will be offered in the summer, and mentoring will begin in the fall.
