God saves us and transforms, but that doesn’t mean a relationship with him is passive. We must actively abide (remain) in him. John reveals how we abide in God. He also reveals the benefits we enjoy when we are committed to maintaining an intimate relationship with God. (Scripture: 1 John 4:13-16)
