Pornography

Dealing and coping with the dark secret can effect an entire family.

We want to help you on your journey toward recovery from a subject that is more common in families than most are willing to admit.  With the invention of the personal computer and internet, there has been an increasing amount of problems caused by pornography.  It is an issue that is changing the relationship between husbands, wives, children, and the structure of the family unit as a whole.  Here are some suggestions that can make a big difference in your progress toward healing:

Finding Support

There are two facets of hurt and pain that pornography causes.  One is the struggle that the individual has with pornography itself and the strong grip it can hold without it ever seeming like it will ever let go.  It is a deep dark secret that no one wants anyone to know about.

The other facet is the spouse that is affected by pornography indirectly.  It brings up questions of "why am I not good enough anymore?", or "did I do something to drive my spouse away?".

Link up with a support group. It’s a place where you’ll find caring people who understand the issues you face.

The Foundation for Healing

Your progress can be slowed or stopped if you don’t build on the right foundation.  It is so important that you begin the healing process with a strong foundation of good information and unlimited support.

Daily Encouragement

In the support groups you will be assigned a “life partner”.  These life partners will be a source of personal and daily support.  Each of you will commit to keeping in touch throughout the week via e-mail or phone to promote each other's well-being.

Personal Study

The curriculum that will be covered will  provide daily reading and exercises to help you dig deeper into the recovery process.
