1 TIMOTHY 5:1-2 (ESV) 
    ¹“Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father. Treat younger men like brothers, ²older women like mothers, younger women like sisters, in all purity. “

JAMES 1:27 (ESV) 
    “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.“  The Seniors group includes widows and widowers who need attention as indicated in this passage. 

2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4 (ESV) 
    ³“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, ⁴who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”  This passage, though not directed solely to Seniors, certainly has meaning for them.

Ministry Description

Establish an organization that would meet monthly for social interaction and community outreach.
