The adult education ministry strives to support, facilitate and encourage the Spiritual growth and development of those who wish to know and serve the Lord, our God.
Under the guidance and direction of the eldership and the adult education ministry:
Establishes the curriculum for adult classes on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. This is done in conjunction with the preaching ministry.
Reviews and selects potential study guides or resources for adult classes;
Coordinates the identification and scheduling of men who will serve as teachers in the adult classes;
Provides general guidelines, goals and a schedule for teachers prior to the beginning of each quarter’s study;
Purchases and provides references and/or resources to teachers prior to the start of each quarter;
Conducts class surveys, as necessary, to determine the needs of the classes and areas of interest for future studies;
Attends each of the different classes to assess group dynamics;
Coordinates with other ministries involved in adult education, such as the small group Bible studies;
Prepares and administers the annual budget for the adult education ministry;
Responds to any issues, concerns, suggestions or questions from members of the congregation.
